590 MIGHTY MEMORY #451

PHOTO INDEX: 1971 BALLOT.

CAST A VOTE

When WARM radio entered the decade of the 70s, the station sought to get more input from its listeners for the end of the year top songs. Here is a sample ballot that WARM put out at the end of 1971. Unfortunately I only have this ballot but not the results that followed. If anyone has it, let me know. But this is just another example of WARM's constant attempts to keep its listeners involved in the Mighty 590.

Glad to see local representation @ 20 w/Give Up Your Gun by the Buoys. But where was Timothy which was actually the song that hit nationally.

What is remarkable about this list is the broad range of music represented. There is room for Chicago and John Lennon and The Doors - but also room for Perry Como and Henry Mancini. It's just about impossible to imagine a radio station that would play all that music now; even in 1971 it was becoming rare, as the practice of niche programming was already well under way.

Where was Maggie May by Rod Stewart. On Billboard's Year Hot 100 it was #2 for 1971. Did the Mighty 590 deem the song too racy to air?

It provides more choice of products and qualities.6. Although the null and alternative hypotheses possess mutually similar fundamentals of their hypothesis, the alternative exclusively disproves and rejects the null by a different predictive result, due to a difference that may be caused in null sampling error. An adiabatic calorimeter is a calorimeter used to examine a runaway reaction. Players who have mastered their basic approach footwork and are ready to move on to achieving a quick arm swing and wrist snap will benefit the most from this drill. They produce medium to large size blueberries.
