590 MIGHTY MEMORY #237

A WARM APPOINTEE

Back in the early days of radio, getting a management position at a radio station was not just a private Human Resources matter. It warranted an announcement in the paper. Our good friend Joe Klapatch sent us this article about a new WARM night program manager. Here's Arthur Bolin's story.

Wow, a time when radio stations were expanding and creating more jobs, go figure...

This is crazy. I am Arthur's grandson and I was journaling this morning about his funeral, the first I ever attended and was comparing it to the funeral I attended this past weekend in North Scranton. Trying to remember how old I was when "Grampa Bolin" passed, I googled him and came across this article...which if I'm reading the date correctly was the 11th...coincidently the date of my last journal entry.

If you have any other information on my grandfather, I would love to know more. What a thrill it would be to hear his voice again.
