THE BEATLES!!!!!!
It was 45 years ago on Feb. 9th that the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show starting out with "All My Loving". Radio station WARM chronicled the arrival of the Fab Four from England with news reports from UPI. The station played all of the Beatles songs, albeit after they charted on bigger stations and ran a few promotions that included tickets to Shea Stadium where the group appeared later on. WARM rode the Beatles and English Invasion wave like many other stations across the nation. As the late George Gilbert told WVIA TV when talking about music selection for the Mighty 590, "You could never go wrong with the Beatles".
